NoroCORE (https://norocore.ncsu.edu/), the USDA-NIFA Food Virology Collaborative, will be holding its Final Showcase Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia on March 19-21, 2018.
This meeting is open to all NoroCORE investigators, technical staff, post-docs, students, and stakeholders. Interested parties are also welcome to attend. We ask that if you intend on attending, to RSVP at the following link (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc90Hv55qUmYDbVWt6cL0Odtv-QTfdksDKx54RShD3ybjC5Vg/viewform) as soon as possible. The RSVP is not binding, but we need to get a more accurate estimation of headcount for planning purposes. Note that a portion of the hotel rooms will be reserved at the government rate.
The overarching goal of the NoroCORE project is reducing the burden of foodborne viruses, particularly norovirus, as it is the most common cause of foodborne disease. This meeting will be a culmination of the Collaborative’s research, outreach, and education activities, from about twenty institutions and spanning the past seven years. Our annual meetings have grown each time, and as always, there will be top food safety and virology researchers, public health professionals, educators, and industry members present.
We look forward to seeing some old faces, as well as new ones, next spring!
