• · Yesterday, I visited two of FDA’s International Mail Facilities to see the work being done by our staff to inspect for counterfeit, illegal and/or potentially dangerous FDA-regulated products. https://go.usa.gov/xVeTh
• · Each day, FDA’s IMFs receive thousands of packages from more than 180 countries. Many of these packages contain illegal, unapproved, counterfeit and/or potentially dangerous FDA-regulated articles.
• · Keeping these illegal and potentially unsafe products out of our country and keeping consumers out of danger is a top priority.
• · We’re working to maximize inspection and detection capabilities at the border, and we’ll continue our critical effort to keep Americans safe from those who try to subvert FDA requirements.
