- · FOOD SAFETY ALERT: seafood products from Topway Enterprises could be contaminated with Listeria. Restaurants and food retailers in TX and LA should stop selling and discard recent shipments from Topway https://go.usa.gov/xypD3
- · FDA & @TexasDSHS inspected Topway’s facility in Feb. & found serious sanitation issues, including samples testing positive for Listeria. Although Topway committed to a recall, FDA has been unable to confirm whether its customers were notified. FDA is continuing to look into it.
- · Consumers, especially women who are or could become pregnant, the elderly, and persons w/ weak immune systems who have recently consumed raw seafood, particularly raw salmon and tuna, in TX and LA who suspect they have food poisoning are advised to seek medical care immediately.
