Blog:
APHL, CDC, CSTE, FDA and USDA-FSIS are working together to plan and host a series of three PulseNet/OutbreakNet Regional Meetings to be held between January and April of 2019. Specific dates and locations will be announced as soon as they are available.
These regional meetings will bring together federal, state, and local laboratorians, epidemiologists, and environmental health specialists to facilitate the exchange of expertise and discussions on enteric surveillance and outbreak response activities, and to build collaborations. The meeting agenda will be similar to past PulseNet/OutbreakNet regional meetings and some sessions held at InFORM 2017.
We are currently forming the agenda planning committees for these regional meetings and would love your input! Please email OutbreakNet@cdc.gov with the subject line: “Volunteer for Regional Planning Committee” by Friday, August 31, 2018 if you are interested in being a member of the agenda planning committee for your region. We will begin scheduling conference calls as soon as possible with the regional planning committee volunteers.
We look forward to another round of regional meetings with everyone from the local, state, and federal levels. For more questions regarding the regional meetings, please contact kristy.kubota@aphl.org.
