2018 FDA Northeast Annual Food Protection Seminar

The Maine Department of Health will host the 2018 FDA Northeast Annual Food Protection Seminar. It will be held at the Double Tree By Hilton, 363 Maine Mall Road, South Portland, Maine on September 19-21, 2018.
We are in the process of developing the agenda. Some of the topics of interest include:

Clean Meat and Farms of the Future

FSMA Update with Regard to Food Systems
FDA Office of Partnership Funding Opportunities
Zoonotic Diseases
Amnesiac Shellfish Poisoning
How to use Virtual Reality in the Food Industry
A draft agenda and seminar reminder will be sent to you by early June, but you are encouraged to register and make hotel reservations as soon as possible. The registration fee of $200.00 for the entire three-day seminar covers the cost of the facilities, materials for the seminar, hotel services and Thursday evening networking social. (Networking Social only $65.00 to include a ferry ride and Lobster Bake on Peaks Island). See the attached Registration Form for payment details. There will be no refunds for cancellations except under extenuating circumstances.

A limited number of rooms will be held until August 18, 2018 at the special group rate of $147.00 plus 9% tax per night available for September 18-20, 2018. The guest room rates will be offered 3 days prior and 3 days after the meeting dates, subject to availability of guest rooms at the time of reservation. Make sure to mention the “FDA Northeast Food Protection Seminar” when reserving a room to get the special rate.
